• What I Couldn’t Stop Thinking About → The power of locking in, and how atrophied that muscle is for me after years of grinding my brain into a smooth ball. How can one re-train that mindset. No amount of Atomic Habits and Andrew Huberman podcasts can pull me from the current depths, so what in the self-help book comes next? Therapy? Hypnosis? I’d try anything at this point. Some of my current fixations could probably be mine if I could just lock in for all of 2 minutes.

• Artists On My Mind → I was back in Syracuse this weekend, which coincided with the opening of William (Bill) Strobeck’s exhibition Dead End. at the Everson Museum. The exhibition features work from some contemporary giants, like Larry Clark, Dash Snow, Ryan McGingley and Spike Jonze. For the weekend, the Everson became a bit of a skateboard Mecca with riders pouring in from every northeastern state, and some even catching flights cross country. There was a sculpture reveal, a skate jam, and an afterparty at Flower skate shop.

  • This eyebrow lamination gel from NYX.

  • ‘Marcio dos Santos Nepomuceno’ a Brazilian drug lord currently in jail. I only came across him after learning about his child, Oruam, a 24 year old rapper. That’s the strangest version of nepotism I’ve seen in a while.

  • Kylie Jenner just revealed her breast implant details after years of telling young girls that she just uses a plumping cream on her ass and tits, and rightfully getting dragged for it. This late stage irrelevancy has the girls getting desperate for any news coverage. I was looking up the name included in her comment: Garth Fisher was her surgeon.

  • Drew and I have been looking up houses for sale in Syracuse, as we get our plans for next year together. Lots of duds, but there are some gems too.

  • Every other month I look up the Luna moth to show someone.

  • ‘test flights for new pilots’ I was on a plane today and needed to confirm that there was no way this could be my pilots very first flight. I wonder how many empty flights are happening daily with pilots in training.

• Something I Bought, Something I Didn’t →

  • Indulgence → I didn’t buy anything fun this week. I know, I can’t believe it either.

  • Self-Restraint → Uniform Person has been on my watchlist for awhile, and I’d love to get my hands on some of their pieces this summer. Their Peretti top especially.

  

• Media Diet → The play by play of the Diddy trials as reported by Stephanie Soo.

• Parting Thoughts…

  • I’ve officially signed up for driving classes and I’m very stressed about it. Please pray for your girl, and the pedestrians of NYC.

  • I finally got my order of Sunday Only biscuits (it came on a Saturday though?) which was honestly a bit of a pain with how the delivery was structured (shout out to Alexis for waiting out the 7 hour delay to grab for me). I’ll report back if it’s worth the hype. I hope it is.

    

  • I’m finally getting back ahead of my newsletters now that my busiest season of the year is behind me. Stay tuned for more fits, friends, and finds.

  • Elon Musk and Trump publicly breaking up over Twitter. Diabolical. Laughable.

  • I tried freeze dried nerds and what a stranger textual experience. I don’t think I would recommend. We did, however, eat the whole container.

  • Thibs getting fired from the Knicks has left the group chat reeling all week in fear of what player trades are in the works to get who they want leading the team. The rumor mill has whisperings of Kat being on the line. I’ll literally be devo’d if they break up the starting 5.
